A massive rally titled *March for Gaza* took place at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka on Saturday, as leaders from religious groups and political parties called on the Muslim world to sever ties with Israel in protest of its continued military actions in Gaza.

The event, organized by the Palestine Solidarity Movement Bangladesh through a Facebook campaign, drew millions of participants who gathered in a powerful show of solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Mahmudur Rahman, editor of the daily Amar Desh, read out a formal declaration during the event, urging Muslim-majority countries to cancel all agreements and diplomatic ties with Israel. “Cancel all deals and ties with Israel,” he said, also calling on global religious leaders to exert pressure on Israel to halt its military campaign.

The hour-long rally began at 3 p.m. and featured emotional slogans such as “Free, Free Palestine,” as protesters waved Palestinian flags and demanded an end to what they described as “barbaric atrocities” in Gaza.

Prominent Islamic scholars including Sheikh Ahmadullah and Mizanur Rahman Azhari addressed the crowd, receiving an emotional response from the audience. Mufti Muhammad Abdul Malek, khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, led prayers for peace in Palestine.

Representatives from various political parties also took part, uniting with religious leaders to echo calls for international action and justice for Palestinians.
