5 KNF men arrested in Bandarban

Five persons were arrested for their alleged involvement with armed outfit Kuki Chin National Front (KNF) in a joint operation in Bandarban from Ruma upazila on Friday.

The arrested are Song Lian Bom (25), Lalhim Sang Bom (37), Lalchan Sang Bom (48), Lal Pian Sang Bom (36) and Lal Siam Thang Bom (38). All of them are residents of Lairunpi Para of Ruma Upazila.

According to the law enforcement agencies,  the joint forces arrested 5 associates of the Kuki Chin National Front (KNF),the armed outfit of the hilly region in Lairunpi Para area of ​​Ruma Upazila.

Later,  they have handover to the police and on Friday afternoon they  submitted before the court of Bandarban Senior Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Nazmul Hoshain. The  court ordered the accused to be sent to jail.

Sub-Inspector of Police of Bandarban  Court Priyal Palit said that Five people were arrested in the case of bank robbery-arms robbery by KNF in  Ruma. After hearing, the court ordered the accused to be sent to jail.
