Law enforcers on Tuesday night arrested three more accused over the murder of Chhatra Dal activist and Dhaka University (DU) student Shahriar Alam Shammo, bringing the total number of detainees to six, the university authorities confirmed in a press release on Wednesday. Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahbubur Rahman has been officially appointed as the Treasurer of the International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) by the Government of Bangladesh. He had been serving as the Acting Treasurer prior to this appointment. The Ministry of Education announced the appointment through a circular signed by Joint Secretary Rokhsana Begum on May 19.
