Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahbubur Rahman has been officially appointed as the Treasurer of the International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) by the Government of Bangladesh. He had been serving as the Acting Treasurer prior to this appointment.
The Ministry of Education announced the appointment through a circular signed by Joint Secretary Rokhsana Begum on May 19.
According to Section 33(1) of the Private University Act, 2010, Dr. Rahman will serve a four-year term. His appointment has been approved by the Honorable President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, who is also the Chancellor of IIUC.
Professor Dr. Mahbubur Rahman has held several key positions at IIUC, including Head of the Female Academic Zone, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, and Chairman of the Department of Business Administration.
