In a major milestone for the country’s international education sector, Bangladesh has been officially recognized as a primary international growth market in the prestigious UK King’s Award Press Book. This recognition comes as the UK’s Ofqual-regulated awarding body, Learning Resource Network (LRN), receives the Royal Honor for its outstanding achievements in international trade.
The King’s Award for Enterprise is the UK’s highest official award for British businesses. Significantly for Bangladesh, the official press book released by the Office of His Majesty the King specifically identifies Bangladesh as one of LRN’s most vital international markets over the past three years.
This marks LRN’s second Royal recognition in six years, having previously secured the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2020. By achieving this feat, LRN joins an elite group of UK institutions that have consistently maintained the highest standards of international business and educational impact.
The inclusion of Bangladesh in this high-level British publication underscores the country’s growing importance in LRN’s global growth strategy. LRN’s International GCSE and AS/A-Level curricula have already received formal recognition within the national education framework of Bangladesh, having been approved by the Dhaka Education Board.
This approval allows Bangladeshi students to pursue internationally recognized British qualifications while remaining within their home country, bridging the gap between local aspirations and global standards. Since its inception, LRN has supported over 1.2 million students across 58 countries.
Mohammed Shoebul , the Bangladesh Representative and Head of GCSE for LRN, expressed his pride regarding this achievement. He noted that the consistent recognition of the Bangladeshi market in such a prestigious UK royal document is a testament to the country’s academic potential and its rising demand for quality international education.
”This repeated recognition for Bangladesh is undoubtedly a matter of great pride for the nation,” said Shoebul Islam. He also expressed optimism that Bangladesh will continue to perform exceptionally well as a key market for LRN in the coming years.
