National Public School and College in the city organized a farewell ceremony and prayer session for Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinees of the 2026 academic session at Rafi Memorial Auditorium on Thursday.
Osman Gani Mansur, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, noted author, journalist, and Secretary of the Commonwealth Journalists Association, Bangladesh chapter, attended the event as Chief Guest while Senior Assistant Commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP), Kazi Bidhan Abid was the keynote speaker.
Directors included Professor (Dr.) G.M. Golam Rasul Atique, educationist Md. Anwar Siddique Chowdhury, Lion Sahela Abedin Rima, businessman Asif Rahman, and Headmaster Mohammad Giasuddin were present as special guests on the occasion.
“Beyond academic excellence, you must prepare yourselves to lead the future of Bangladesh through character and integrity,” the chief guest said .
Presided over by principal Md. Hamid Hossain and moderated by Md. Humayun Kabir Dehan, the event featured speeches from faculty members Marufatul Jannat Shimu and Md. Abdus Shakoor.
Student representatives Montahiza Oliza, Vanhmimbom, and Hamima Sultana also shared their reflections on their journey with the institution.
Later, examination kits and essential stationery were distributed among the candidates to assist them in their upcoming board exams.
The program concluded with a special prayer session led by Anwara Siddique Chowdhury for late Vice Chairman, Helaluddin CIP and seeking divine blessings for the success of the examinees, the well-being of the faculty, and the continued prosperity of the institution.
