The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued a forecast indicating a potential decrease in daytime temperatures by up to 3°C across the country, while nighttime temperatures may slightly rise.

According to the department’s forecast released on Saturday (February 22) at 6 p.m., this weather trend is expected to continue for the next 24 hours.

The forecast mentions that some areas in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions may experience temporary gusty winds, rain, and thunderstorms, with scattered hail showers. Additionally, light to moderate fog may form across various parts of the country from late night to early morning. The forecast further predicts that nighttime temperatures could see a slight increase, while daytime temperatures may drop by 1-3°C.

For the Dhaka area, the department stated that the daytime temperature is expected to remain unchanged for the next six hours starting from 7 a.m. on Saturday. The sky may remain partly cloudy, and the weather will likely be dry. Winds from the northwest or west could reach speeds of 8 to 12 km/h during this period.
