Case filed against 127 individuals including Nowfel

A case has been filed against 127 individuals, including former Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel and former Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, in connection with the alleged attack on a rally of students and citizens protesting against discrimination. The case also includes 100 to 150 unidentified individuals.

 

The case was filed on Friday, February 14, at the Bakolia Police Station by a person named Mohammad Elias, though the information became known on Sunday, February 16

.

The key accused in the case include former General Secretary of Bangladesh Student League of Chattogram City Nurul Azim Roni, President of the 19th Ward Chattogram City Student League Rizan Chowdhury, former Councillor of the 19th Ward Nurul Alam Mia, 18th Ward Councillor Harunur Rashid, and Reserved Ward Councillor Shahin Akhtar Rozi.

 

Bakolia Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ikhtiar Uddin confirmed that the plaintiff, Mohammad Elias, had submitted the case to the court. After a hearing, the court instructed the case to be recorded at the police station. As per the court’s order, the case was officially registered at the Bakolia Police Station on Friday, naming the 127 individuals, along with 100 to 150 unnamed suspects.
