The results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations for 2025 have been announced, with only 68.45 percent of students passing; a sharp decline of 14.59 percentage points from last year’s results. A total of 139,032 students obtained a GPA-5, significantly lower than 182,129 students who achieved the top grade in 2024. A three-year-old child died after falling into an open drain in Chattogram city’s Halishahar area on Wednesday. The body of the child was recovered around 3:45 PM, confirmed Kamrul Islam, a team leader at the Agrabad Fire Station. According to the Patenga Weather Office, 153.6 millimeters of rain was recorded in the 24 hours leading up to Wednesday (July 9).
