Veteran journalist Mahbub Ul Alam remembered

Shershah Journalist Housing Society Plot Owner Cooperative Society Limited held a reminiscence and Doa Mahfil for veteran journalist, former assistant editor of The Daily Azadi and president of Chittagong Journalist Union,  Mahbub ul Alam at the office premises on Friday last.

President of the organization journalist, advocate Sukhomoi Chatraborty chaired the event while Joint Convener journalist Shamsul Hoque Haidari gave the address of welcome.

General secretary journalist Mohammad Nowshad Chowdhury moderated it.

The discussion was participated among others by veteran journalist Osman Gani Mansur, editor and publisher of The  Daily People’s View,  CU professor Dr. Mohammad Al Forkan, journalist Iskandar Ali Chowdhury, journalist Shahid ul Alam, journalist Salauddin Reza, journalist M. Shamshul Islam, journalist Deb Dulal Bhowmik, Chief Reporter of Dainik Azadi, journalist Hasan Akbar, Secretary General of Hazrat Syed Ziaul Haque Maizbhandari Trust Professor A.Y.M. Zafar, journalist Moazzemul Haque, journalist Nazim Uddin Shyamal, journalist Mohammad Sirajul Islam, journalist Babul Kanti Chowdhury, journalist Shatadal Barua, Mohammad Irfan Reza Khan, Mohammad Jamil Akhter Riddi, Slogan Editor Mohammad Zahir, Banker Sarwar Kabir Chowdhury, Former President of Chittagong Bar Association Advocate Kafil Uddin Chowdhury, Immediate younger brother of late Alam, Professor Mahmudul Alam, younger brother Professor Zahurul Alam, and his lone son CU Professor Mohammad Jibran Alam.

Starting with recitation from the holy Quran by Nayebe Imam Hafez Mohammad Mohiuddin , the meeting ended with prayer for salvation of the departed soul led by the Society Mosque’s Pesh Imam Hafez Maulana Mohammad Rashedul Hasan Qaderi.
