Tritorongo, a leading cultural organization in Chattogram has decided to honor Ekushey Medal –winning journalist MA Malek, editor of the renowned Bangla daily “ Azadi” on it’s upcoming 42nd anniversary.
A delegation including Osman Gani Mansur, chairman of Tritorongo, a veteran journalist and author, Shaon Pantho, secretary general of the organization; Shahin Afroz, adviser; Subarna Rahman, executive member and artist and Sheela Chowdhury, joint cultural secretary and Rabindra Sangeet singer paid a courtesy visit at the editor’s residence with the proposal.
Mr. Malek warmly received the delegation and agreed to accept the distinguished award.
A ceremony on the occasion will be held on August 10 at the Collegiate Auditorium of Chattogram Press Club.
