Journalist Asaduzzaman Tuhin, who was killed in a machete attack in Gazipur, was buried in his native village in Mymensingh on Friday evening.

The burial took place at 7:30pm at the family graveyard in Fulbaria Upazila after a funeral prayer at his residence.

Tuhin was assaulted by a group of armed attackers near Chandna Chowrasta in Gazipur on Thursday night. He was hacked multiple times, and his throat was slit.

After an autopsy at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College and Hospital in Gazipur, police returned the body to his family.

He leaves behind his wife, Mukta Akter, and their two sons.

Meanwhile, police have detained five people in connection with the killing.
