REHAB Chattogram Fair 2025, a four-day housing exhibition, begins in the port city today, Thursday at the Radisson Blu Chattogram Bay View hotel.
It will be the 16th such fair organised by the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) in the port city.
City Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain is scheduled to inaugurate the fair as the chief guest, the REHAB vice president Delwar Hossain said at a press conference at its office in Chattogram on Tuesday.
Renowned companies, including real estate firms from Dhaka and Chattogram, building material makers and financial institutes would take part in the fair occupying over 42 stalls.
Two firms are gold sponsors of the fair and 14 real estate firms are co-sponsoring it.
The entry fee is fixed at Tk 50 for single entry and Tk 100 for multiple entries, the organisers said, adding that the fair would remain open from 10 am to 9 pm every day.
CDA chairman Nurul Karim and CMP commissioner Hasib Aziz will remain present as special guests, will be special guests at the inaugural ceremony.
Delwar Hossain said the country’s real estate sector accounts for 15% of country’s GDP and 50 lac people work here. But it is passing through a tough time due to DAP (Detailed Area Plan) that was initiated in 2022.
Members of REHAB regional committee including Sayed Irfanul Alam, Sarista Binte Nur, Nur Uddin Ahmed and Mohammed Mainul Hasan were present on the occasion.
