The 27th death anniversary of Irfanul Gani Rafi was observed with due solemnity in the city on Saturday.
On the occasion, Rotary and Rotaract Club of Islamabad, Chittagong organized a Milad Mahfil at the Rotary School of Islamabad auditorium, near Kazir Dewry Officers’ Club after Asr prayer.
Rafi’s father and veteran journalist Osman Gani Mansur, Shafiqul Alam Khan, Shawkat Hossain, Engineer Abdur Rashid, Mahfuzur Rahman, Dr. Chowdhury Monirul Hasan, Rotaract Club of Islamabad President Mohammad Riyad, Community Service Director Mariam Akhter, Editor Tania Akhter Mahi and Member Saiful Islam among others attended the event.
Arabic teacher of the school, Habibur Rahman conducted the Milad.
Rafi, a teen talent died prematurely at the age of 11 after suffering from the deadly disease Leukemia (Blood Cancer).
In his memory , Children Leukemia And Support Services (CLASS) has been regularly providing various medical and support services for the welfare of children with cancer and their families for long 26 years.
