Osman Gani Mansur, Chairman of childhood cancer support and advocacy organization, Children Leukemia Assistance and Support Services (CLASS) and a veteran journalist, left Dhaka for Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia Tuesday to attend the 18th Asia Childhood Cancer Conference (ACCC). The conference is scheduled to be held from June 25 to 28.
He will serve as moderator at the third plenary session titled “The Changing Landscape of Childhood Cancer Treatment and Research.”
Jointly organized by the Society of International Pediatric Oncology(SIOP) and Childhood Cancer International (CCI), this year’s conference theme is “ We are united for Change: Science, Compassion and Hope for Every Child.”
More than 1,000 delegates from 36 countries have already registered to participate in the event, including representatives of international organisations.
