Building a safe future for youth a major challenge now

Osman Gani Mansur, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, writer, journalist, and Secretary-General of the Commonwealth Journalists Association said building a safe future for the next generation is now a major challenge.

He was speaking as Chief Guest at a discussion on Victory Day at city’s Bahaddarhat National Public School and College yesterday.

College principal, Md. Hamid Hossain chaired the event while war hero , former Chairman of the Engineers Institute, Engineer Mohammad Harun, and head teacher Mohammad Giasuddin were present as special guests.

Osman Gani Mansur emphasized the collective responsibility of teachers, parents, and society to work together in preparing students to lead Bangladesh in future.

Freedom fighter engineer Mohammad Harun, reflected on the liberation of Bangladesh as the nation’s greatest achievement.

Earlier, a colorful procession was held and martyrs of independence were honored with floral tribute at the Central Shaheed Minar in Bahaddarhat.

The ceremony concluded with a cultural program that enchanted the audience.
