The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially announced the itinerary for India’s white-ball tour later this year, with the visiting team set to arrive in Dhaka on August 13.
According to the schedule, the three-match ODI series will begin ahead of the team’s arrival, with the opener slated for August 11 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Mirpur. The second ODI will also be held in the capital, while the third and final 50-over match will take place in Chattogram on August 23.
The T20I leg of the tour kicks off on August 26 at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Cricket Stadium (BSSFLMRCS) in Chattogram. The final two T20Is are scheduled for August 29 and 31 at the SBNCS in Mirpur.
This series marks a historic occasion, as it will be the first time a bilateral T20I series between Bangladesh and India will be hosted on Bangladeshi soil.
Calling the series “one of the most exciting and most anticipated events” on Bangladesh’s cricket calendar, BCB CEO Nizam Uddin Chowdhury expressed enthusiasm about the high-profile contest. “India has set the benchmark in international cricket across all formats, and the cricket-loving millions in both countries are sure to enjoy this contest,” he said.
Chowdhury also noted the competitive nature of recent encounters between the two sides, expressing confidence in a thrilling and closely contested series.
