Imranul Gani Fira has been awarded the Degree of Master of Science (Economics) specializing in Finance and Investment Management by the University of Aberdeen. The degree was conferred during the university’s formal graduation ceremony held under the authority of the Senatus Academicus on 2nd July 2025. M. Haidar Ali, senior photojournalist at Daily Purbodesh, has won first prize in the Ruposhi Bangla National Photography Competition 2025 — the first-ever top award for a Chattogram-based photojournalist. His winning image was selected from nearly 500 submissions nationwide. Three additional photos by Haidar Ali were also chosen for exhibition. Md. Commonwealth Journalist Association (CJA) has planned to hold a conference on the Rohingya refugee situation and the government’s ongoing initiatives by Mid-July or end of July, 2025.
