Bangladesh has experienced a significant increase in remittances, with expatriates sending a total of $18.49 billion between July 2024 and February 2025. This marks a 23.8% rise compared to the $14.93 billion received during the same period last year, according to a statement from Bangladesh Bank. In February 2025 alone, the country received $2.52 billion in remittances, reflecting a 25% year-on-year growth from February 2024, when remittances amounted to $2.02 billion.
