Training program on online journalism in Ctg

A day-long training program on online journalism was held at Chattogram Press Club premises on Sunday.

Chattogram Editors’ Club organized the event where Prof. Muhammad Sikandar Khan, former VC, East-Delta University and president, Parikolpita Chattogram Forum attended as Chief Guest while, Zahidul Karim Koci, member-secretary of Chattogram Press Club and Resident Editor of Dainik Amar Desh and Md. Shahnewaz, Bureau Chief , BSS and president, Chattogram Metropolitan Union Of Journalists were present as Special Guests.

Osman Gani Manusr, Editor and Publisher Of The Daily People’s View inaugurated the event.

Trainers at the program include Dr. Muhammad Morshedul Islam, Prof. Communication and Journalism Dept., CU, Dr. Md. Shahidul Hoq, Associate Prof. Communication and Journalism Dept. CU, Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Associate Prof. Communication and Journalism Dept. CU, Samshad Sattar, Deputy Editor, The Daily People’s View, Md. Rakib Hasan, Former Senior Journalist, Ekushey Television, Atifa Anjuman, Senior Broadcast Journalist and News Reader, Independent TV and Shaon Pantha, poet, organizer, radio and TV presenter.

Chaired by M Ali Hossain, president of Editors’ Club and moderated by Md. Ziaul Hoq, general secretary of the organization, the event was attended among others by Sheikh Muhammad Arif, Mahtab Uddin Chowdury, Md. Jashim Uddin Chowdhury, ABM Mujahidul Islam, Muhammad Shafiul Alam, Muhammad Ayub, M A Kayum and Md. Abdul Naser.

About fifty journalists participated at the training program that ended with certificate award ceremony.
