Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Secretary-General of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), along with Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, a member of the party’s Standing Committee, and Barrister Zaima Rahman, a representative of BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, attended the 2025 National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C.
The event, held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, took place at the White House at 7 AM local time and lasted for seven hours. The National Prayer Breakfast is a longstanding tradition in the United States, hosted by the President within the first 100 days of their term. It invites prominent political figures, diplomats, business leaders, and cultural personalities from around the world.
In an official post shared on BNP’s Facebook page during the early hours of Friday, the party shared details of the event. The post highlighted that the breakfast, which takes place every year after a new president is elected, serves as a platform for strengthening international relations through dialogues between world leaders, diplomats, and other influential figures.
In attendance alongside President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance were various senators, members of Congress, and global leaders, as well as business and professional dignitaries. The gathering continues to be a significant event in the U.S. political calendar, fostering cross-border diplomacy and strengthening international ties.
