Sanmilito Peshajibi Parisad honors Osman Gani Mansur

Chattogram Sanmilito Peshajibi Parisad has warmly felicitated veteran journalist and social worker Osman Gani Mansur on his election as secretary general of Commonwealth Journalist Association, Bangladesh Chapter at a ceremony on Saturday afternoon.

A friendly meeting was organized on this occasion at Safa Arcade community center in the city where president of the organization, journalist Jahidul Karim Kochi presided.

Mohammed Shahnewaz, president of CMUJ moderated the event.

“ We have achieved independence for the second time after long 15-years’ fascist regime and this has become possible at the cost of thousands of valuable lives with thousand others left seriously injured. Now it’s our sacred duty to stay united for protecting this hard earned freedom”, executives of the organization said.

They also stressed the need for restoration of democracy, freedom of expression and other fundamental rights.

Ashraf Hossain Chowdhury Razzak, Jatiyatabadi Lawyers Forum General Secretary Adv. Hasan Ali, Adv. S U M Nurul Islam PP, journalist leader Mustafa Naeem, Kamrul Huda, Saiful Islam Shilpi, Alamgir Apu, DAB central Asst. Organizing Secretary  Dr. SM Sarwar Alam, Salauddin Ali, Ustad Captain Azizul Islam, IEB General Secretary Engineer Atikuzzaman Billah, Dr. Md. Haroon, Engineer Mejbah Uddin and Advocate Sanjda Sanji among others spoke on the occasion.
