Protesters have carried three bodies from Dhaka Medical College Hospital as part of a demonstration amid the non-cooperation movement led by students protesters demanding the fall of the government.
Around 6pm on Sunday, the bodies were brought from DMCH to the Central Shaheed Minar.
By approximately 6:15pm, protesters carried the bodies on their shoulders and marched through Dhaka University’s Teacher-Student Centre or TSC area to Shahbagh.
According to the protesters, five bodies were brought to DMCH from clashes in the capital.
They took three of these bodies for their demonstration.
When the protesters attempted to breach the gate of Shahbagh Police Station with the bodies, police opened fire to disperse them. The protesters then left Shahbagh.
As of 7pm, protesters are still positioned at Shaheed Minar.
