Cultural organisation ‘Portrait’ unveiled the logo of Little Mister and Miss Chittagong 2026, a competition focusing on children’s talent and fashion, at a colourful ceremony at the Chattogram Shilpakala Academy auditorium.
Osman Gani Mansur, Secretary General of the Commonwealth Journalists Association (CJA) Bangladesh Chapter, attended the programme as the chief guest while Lion Piyush Talukder, Chairman of MNS Inspection Company and an adviser to Portrait, presided over the event.
Corporate personality Muhammad Mohsin Chowdhury, Eloha Director Asad Ujjal, cultural personality Mohammad Ali Murad, Sheikh Adnan Shuvo, Asif Iqbal, choreographer Saif Azad, Nikkan Academy Director Setu Biswas, Liton Das Litu and Biswajit Dutta were present as guests on the occasion.
Portrait Director Rupam Chakraborty delivered the welcome address.
These initiatives were timely and important for developing children’s talent, creativity and intellectual abilities, speakers said.
Greater involvement of children in cultural and creative activities could help keep them away from excessive dependence on modern technology and its negative effects, they added.
The event was followed by a special dance performance directed by Setu Biswas.
Portrait first organised such a competition in Bangladesh in 2008. .
