5 new Dengue cases in the last 24 hours

Five new cases of dengue have been reported in the 24 hours leading up to Friday morning, bringing the total number of cases in the country this year to 1,589.

 

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) stated that the new cases were reported in various divisions: one in Barishal Division (Outside City Corporation), one in Khulna Division (Outside City Corporation), one in Chattogram Division (Outside City Corporation), one in Dhaka South City Corporation, and one in Dhaka North City Corporation.

 

The number of dengue-related deaths remained at 13, with no new fatalities recorded during this period. Currently, 56 dengue patients are receiving treatment in hospitals nationwide.

 

In 2023, dengue claimed 575 lives, with 101,214 reported cases and 100,040 recoveries, according to the DGHS.
