3 ‘pro-BNP advisers’ in govt will be forced to resign: NCP’s Nasiruddin

NCP’s Chief Coordinator Nasiurddin Patwary on Wednesday threatened that the youth-led party will lead a strong movement to force three interim government advisers to resign for their pro-BNP mindset.

He pointed out Economic Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed, Planning Adviser Wahiduddin Mahmud and Law Adviser Asif Nazrul as the “pro-BNP advisers.”

Nasiruddin made the remarks during an NCP protest rally in front of the Election Commission (EC), which began on Wednesday morning, and ended around 2pm. Party leaders have warned the demonstration would resume Thursday and continue indefinitely until the EC is reconstituted.

During the demonstration, Nasiruddin Patwary also alleged the EC has turned into a BNP office, demanding the resignation of all the Election Commissioners.

Pro-BNP employees and middlemen have taken over a number of other government institutions across the country, he said, urging the government to evict the political cronies from offices run with people’s taxes.

If the government cannot evict the pro-BNP government employees, it must at least swiftly oust pro-BNP de-facto ministers.

The government has assumed power as a result of people’s bloody sacrifices, and therefore, cannot act in favour of BNP, Nasiruddin said. The government cannot allow BNP to take over the Nagar Bhaban and Election Commission, he asserted.

He called for reconstituting EC, and holding local elections ahead of general elections to test the credibility and efficiency of the pontentially newly formed EC as well as other relevant government institutions.

The planning adviser and economic adviser are working to “destroy the national economy.” “Pro-BNP Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed” is working at the behest of Indian agents to retain the “1972 Mujibist Constitution,” Nasiruddin said as he continued targeting the government.

NCP would throw out the pro-fascist 1972 Constitution, he said.

Law Adviser Asif Nazrul was working to derail the “July Charter” declaration, in betrayal of people’s blood, the NCP leader said.
