Veteran journalist and editor of ‘The People’s View’ Osman Gani Mansur yesterday inaugurated the permanent residents list compilation work of Chandanpura Moholla committee in the city.
Lion Abdul Mannan presided over the event while renowned social worker and advisor to the committee Shafiqul Alam, was present as special guest.
General Secretary Sheikh Golam Md. Raju delivered the welcome speech, followed by remarks from Vice-President Salamat Ali, Organizing Secretary Rahmatullah Swapan, Legal Affairs Secretary Advocate Didarul Alam, and Honorary Member Khaja Alauddin.
The program was conducted by Assistant Office Secretary Anwar Hasan Jewel.
Osman Gani Monsur praised the initiative, stating, “On this great day of December 16, the month of victory, the Chandanpura Moholla Committee’s effort to compile a list of permanent residents is commendable. Through this initiative, an incredible bond of brotherhood will be created among the residents.
“I express my willingness to be part of any positive and good initiative in the moholla and wish the committee success in future”, he added.
Among others, Mohammed Soleman, Mohammed Morshed, Golam Mustafa Dulal, Zahidul Haque Zaku, Ariful Islam Samshad, Syedul, Saifuluddin, Enam, and Mohammed Khurshid were present on the occasion.
