Popular cultural organization Tritoronga, in Chattogram, held a preparatory meeting at it’s Nasirabad office to organize its upcoming Barsha Udyapan (Monsoon Celebration) as part of its 40th anniversary celebrations on Saturday.

Veteran journalist and editor of Daily People’s View Osman Gani Mansur, who is also chairman of the Tritoronga 40-Year Celebration Committee chaired the event.

Founder and general secretary of the organization, Shawon Pantha presented the overall event plan to hold Barsha celebration titled “ Aaj Shrabaner Amontrone” on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 5 PM.

The meeting featured detailed discussions by noted cultural personalities including Suborna Rahman, Shila Chowdhury, Monowar Hossain, Prof. Sakib Karim, visual artist Afsana Alam, dance teacher Adiba Wadud, and Lutful Nahar Lata, among others.

The celebration will showcase performances by Tritoronga Culture Squad, Recitation Division, Music Academy, and renowned artists from across Chattogram.

In his closing remarks, Osman Gani Mansur emphasized Tritorongo’s legacy in promoting artistic and aesthetic cultural presentations over the past four decades. He called on the younger generation of Tritorongo artists to dedicate themselves to regular practice in order to uphold this legacy.

“We hope the August 14 program will be vibrant, graceful, and creatively fulfilling,” he added.
