A shooting at a school in Sweden has left 10 people dead, with at least five others injured. Authorities have warned that the death toll could rise as investigations continue. It is believed that the attacker may have been among the victims.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, February 4, at Risbergska School in Orebro, located 200 kilometers west of the capital, Stockholm.

Police have stated that the attacker was not previously known to them and has not yet been identified. It is suspected that the assailant acted alone. After being taken to the hospital, four of the injured underwent surgery, with one in critical condition. Authorities have expressed concern that there may be additional victims.

Reports indicate that the bodies of all the deceased were found inside the school building.

Authorities have classified the incident as an attempted murder, arson, and a serious firearms-related crime. In the aftermath, officials have urged the public to stay away from the area. Students from nearby schools have also been kept inside their buildings as a safety measure.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are working to piece together more details surrounding this tragic event.
