The Rotary Club of Islamabad held its pre-club assembly for the 2025–2026 Rotary year on Monday evening at a local restaurant. The event was presided over by the incoming President, Professor Dr. Asif Iqbal, who shared his vision and future plans for the club’s service initiatives.

During the meeting, Dr. Iqbal announced the names of the board members who will oversee club operations during his term and reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing Rotary’s community service and humanitarian outreach.

A detailed discussion on the budget for the upcoming year also took place. Past Presidents Osman Gani Mansur, Engineer Harun, Shafiqul Alam Khan, Advocate Humayun Akhtar, Engineer MA Rashid, Engineer MA Hannan, Professor Dr. Chowdhury Munirul Hasan, Gulzar Alamgir, and Mrs. Adiba were present at the meeting.

Incoming Secretary PP Mahfuzur Rahman and 2026–2027 President Salim Reza Sagar also spoke, offering advisory remarks focused on expanding fellowship and community service activities.

It is worth noting that Rotary International practices an annual leadership transition on July 1st across all its clubs worldwide, including in Bangladesh — a tradition that underscores its commitment to continuity and global unity.
