Rafi Smrithi Open Table Tennis Finale Celebrates Young Champions

The two-day Rafi Memorial Open Table Tennis Tournament, organized by Nobin Mela, has concluded today, August 20 followed by prize distribution ceremony at the Safa Arcade Convention Center in Chattogram.

Renowned Ekushey Padak awardee Captain Azizul Islam attended the closing event as the chief guest, while  Zahidul Karim Kochi, Member Secretary of the Chattogram Press Club , philanthropist and veteran  journalist Osman Gani Mansur, and former president Shafiqul Alam Khan were present as special guests.

Jamal Uddin Babul, President of Nobin Mela presided.

Other guests included General Secretary of Nobin Mela Subir Kumar Nath, Joint Secretary Harun Rashid, Standing Committee Member Dr. Taslim Chowdhury, and Mahidul Hossain, Senior Teacher at KAFCO School and College.

Later, awards were distributed among the winners across multiple categories such as  

Boys’ Sub-Junior (Singles): Champion: Anonto Biswas (KAFCO School & College), Runner-up: Yaqin Irfan (KAFCO School & College), 3rd Place: Soumik Dey (Kadom Mubarak Govt. Primary School)

Boys’ Sub-Junior (Doubles): Champion: Anonto Biswas & Yaqin Irfan (KAFCO School & College), Runner-up: Soumik Dey (Kodom Mubarak Govt. Pry School) & Anurag Dev (Collegiate School), 3rd Place: Kaushik Dey (Kodom Mubarak Govt. Pry School) & Faiyazul Alam (Sir Maurice Brown Int’l School)

Girls’ Sub-Junior (Singles): Champion: Nabiha Hasan (KAFCO School & College), Runner-up: Turna Bonik (Kusum Kumari City Corp Girls’ High School), 3rd Place: Bibi Khadija (Mirza Ahmed Ispahani High School)

Girls’ Sub-Junior (Doubles): Champion: Nadia Sultana & Nishat Tabassum (Mirza Ahmed Ispahani High School), Runner-up: Bibi Khadija & Sabikun Nahar (Mirza Ahmed Ispahani High School), 3rd Place: Nabiha Hasan & Anusua Hossain (KAFCO School & College)

Boys’ Senior (Singles): Champion: Sohas Uddin Samin (Shah Waliullah School), Runner-up: Afraz Alam (Muslim High School), 3rd Place: Nakib Zaman (KAFCO School & College)

Boys’ Senior (Doubles): Champion: Afraz Alam & Sohas Uddin Samin (Muslim High School & Shah Waliullah Institute), Runner-up: Borhan Uddin & Nabil Hasan (Kadom Mubarak City Corp School & Baklia Govt. High School), 3rd Place: Nakib Zaman & Amlendu Biswas (KAFCO School & College)

College/University Level (Singles): Champion: Toufiqul Rahman Tushar (Premier University), Runner-up: S.M. Abir Ullah (Presidency School & College), 3rd Place: Shovon Chowdhury (St. Placid School & College)
