Respected members of ‘Priyo Anwara’ (প্রিয় আনোয়ারা) have shared their opinions on the possibility of renaming the platform in light of potential future administrative re-demarcation, should Anwara Upazila be upgraded to a city corporation or pourashava.

During discussions, members proposed that the name could reflect a broader regional identity by including Karnafully Upazila, should the two areas be administratively connected in the future.

The suggestions came at the 4th virtual meeting of the online platform, held on Google Meet and WhatsApp on Saturday evening.

“‘Anwara–Karnafully Samity’ is a popular organization in Dhaka, and we often attend its events,” said Chandan Dey, supporting Nurul Imran’s proposal to rename ‘Priyo Anwara’ accordingly.

Saifullah Chowdhury, a top executive of that organization  echoed the same idea, while. Salam Chowdhury expressed his willingness to actively contribute to the organization’s future activities.

Other respected members who could not join the meeting conveyed their full support for all positive initiatives undertaken by the group.

Founded as a non-political online platform, ‘Priyo Anwara’ aims to serve the people of the area without discrimination, fostering unity and progress among residents at home and abroad.

Participants in the meeting included. Ahasanullah, Sujit Kumar Das, Mir Shahidul Islam Babu, M. Ali Hossain, Rafiq Ahmed Khan, Azad Moinuddin, Shahidul Alam Shahid, Hossain Murad Chowdhury, Md. Abu Taleb, Md. Shahedul Islam, Md. Shahafaz Chowdhury, Meah M. A. Karim, Chowdhury Robel, and Rahim Shah, among others.

The meeting was moderated by Samshad Sattar.
