Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser, Professor Muhammad Yunus, today to exchange Eid-ul-Fitr greetings, the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing confirmed.
During the conversation, Sharif extended his best wishes to the people of Bangladesh on the occasion of the Muslim festival and invited Prof Yunus to visit Pakistan at a convenient time in the coming months.
In response, Prof Yunus also conveyed Eid greetings to the people of Pakistan.
Sharif further informed that Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, is scheduled to visit Bangladesh in April to discuss matters of mutual interest.
The two leaders have previously met on multiple occasions, including at the D-8 Summit in Cairo last December and the United Nations General Assembly in New York last September.
