JCD protests in Sandwip against violence to women

In Sandwip, a human chain was formed by the leaders and activists of the Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chhatra Dal, in protest against violence, harassment, sexual assault, online abuse, deteriorating law and order, and lack of justice for women.

 

The protest, led by Abul Kalam Azad, Vice President of the Jatiotabdi Chhatra Dal, Chattogram North District, took place on Monday, March 10, at various educational institutions across Sandeep.

 

The rally was attended by a number of prominent figures, including Shariful Islam Omar, Vice President of District Chhatra Dal, Abdur Rahman, Joint Secretary Zahid Hasan Niloy, member Mosharraf Hossain Arian, Senior Joint Convener of Sandwip Government Haji AB College Chhatra Dal Kazi Alamgir, former Member Secretary of MR College Chhatra Dal Yasin Riyad, President of Gasua Union Chhatra Dal Nur Nabi, General Secretary Murad, and several other leaders and activists.

 

The rally called for stricter action against gender-based violence and demanded justice for the victims, highlighting concerns over the ongoing social issues and a perceived decline in law and order.
