Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Advisor to the Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change, has emphasized the vital role of cultural practices in ensuring the sustainable development of the environment and society. She highlighted the interconnectedness of culture and the environment, stating that a healthy cultural practice can contribute positively to environmental conservation.

She made these remarks as the chief guest at the inauguration of “Ananda Academy for Performing Arts” in the Baridhara area of the capital on Saturday (February 15).

Rizwana Hasan said, “Culture is one of the key tools in shaping human consciousness. A person with a deep cultural understanding would never resort to harming wildlife, such as killing wild elephants with electric shocks or unnecessarily killing stray animals like cats.”

The “Ananda Academy for Performing Arts” has been established to provide children, adolescents, and young people with opportunities to practice various performing arts, including dance, music, and drama. The inauguration event featured captivating performances that left the guests impressed.

The organizers shared that the institution aims to promote cultural education among the younger generation, fostering creativity and appreciation for the arts.

After the inauguration, the chief guest visited various rooms within the academy and exchanged views with the trustees.
