Bangladesh cricket star Tamim Iqbal will be honored with special mementoes from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for his outstanding 17-year career, just before the presentation ceremony of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) final on Friday.
Tamim, who recently announced his retirement from international cricket, is currently leading Fortune Barishal in their bid to defend their title against Chittagong Kings at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
The left-handed opener retires as Bangladesh’s highest run-scorer in ODIs with 8,357 runs, the player with the most centuries across all formats (25), and the first Bangladeshi cricketer to surpass 15,000 international runs.
