Saudi Arabia has banned children from accompanying pilgrims during the hajj this year. The country’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in a statement on Sunday, said, “The decision aims to protect children from the risks associated with the intense crowding that occurs every year. A deadly fire broke out at a residential house in the Sawdagar Colony, located on the western bank of Boluar Dighi, Kotwali, Chattogram. The incident occurred early on Monday, February 10th, at 6:40 AM, claiming the lives of two individuals. Upon receiving the news, four units from two fire service stations rushed to the scene and managed to bring the fire under control by 8:00 AM. Five people were rescued from the burning building and admitted to the hospital.
