Saudi Arabia has banned children from accompanying pilgrims during the hajj this year. The country’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in a statement on Sunday, said, “The decision aims to protect children from the risks associated with the intense crowding that occurs every year. A deadly fire broke out at a residential house in the Sawdagar Colony, located on the western bank of Boluar Dighi, Kotwali, Chattogram. The incident occurred early on Monday, February 10th, at 6:40 AM, claiming the lives of two individuals. Upon receiving the news, four units from two fire service stations rushed to the scene and managed to bring the fire under control by 8:00 AM. A violent clash broke out between students of Dhaka City College and Ideal College in the Science Laboratory area of Dhaka’s Dhanmondi on Sunday, due to prior enmity between the two groups.
