“Swopnayatri Obosor Patagar” brings books to Ctg bus counter

Swopnayatri Obosor Patagar-16 has officially begun its journey at the Green Line Bus Counter in Dampara, Chittagong aiming to transform waiting time into meaningful reading moments for travelers.

This initiative, led by the Swopno Yatri Foundation in partnership with the Rotary Club of Chittagong Rainbow, encourages passengers to use their leisure moments to read and enrich themselves.

Professor Dr. Mohammad Nazim Uddin, Vice Chancellor of East Delta University inaugurated the library where Md. Iftekhar Monir, Registrar of Premier University, Osman Gani Mansur, President of Rotary Chittagong Center and Secretary General, Commonwealth Journalists Association, Bangladesh, Club adviser, past president Rotarian Keramatul Azim Pintu, Ripsa coordinator Rot. Md. Moniruzzaman, , Rainbow Club Charter President Zaheda Akhter Mita , and Rotary Club Ctg Smile president Rot. Shahdat Hossain Chowdhury attended as special guests.

Tasnuva Haider, Rotary Club of Chittagong Rainbow president presided over the event moderated by Safayet Shihab, Chief Coordinator of the Swapna Yatri Patagar Operation Team.

Besides, Rotary Club Ctg Rainbow past president Rot. Abdul Mannan Bahar, past president Rot. Iftekar Uddin Khan, Club Secy Rot. Sabina Khaiyum , member SK Russel Uddin, Ridwan Qader, Anika, Pervez Habib, Amzad, Misbah Habib, Irfan, Shawal and Green Line Transport manager Babu were among others present on the occasion.

The Guests praise the project’s role in steering youth away from drug and mobile addiction, highlighting its potential positive impact on society. Safayet Shihab, Chief Coordinator of the Swapna Yatri Patagar Operation Team, emphasized the goal of turning waiting time into productive reading moments, offering passengers a valuable alternative to spending time on mobile phones.

With the slogan “Read books in leisure, become enlightened people,” this project hopes to inspire a reading culture among the younger generation and create a brighter future for the community.
