Authorities at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram have made face masks mandatory in response to a fresh rise in Covid-19 cases globally.
The decision was announced in a press release issued by airport officials on Sunday night.
As part of precautionary measures, health screening equipment have been installed at immigration counters.
Passengers are also being checked for fever using thermal scanners.
The statement added that masks and gloves have been stocked for use by on-duty health workers.
