Rains likely in Dhaka, 7 other divisions

Bangladesh Meteorological Department predicted rains coupled with thunder showers in parts of the country including Dhaka in 24hrs commencing 9am on Wednesday.

 

“Rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with hails at isolated places,” said a Met office bulletin.

 

Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

 

The country’s maximum temperature was recorded at 35.8 degrees Celsius in Feni on Tuesday while the minimum temperature was recorded at 19.6 degrees Celsius in Panchagarh’s Tetulia on Wednesday.

 

A trough of low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area. Seasonal low lies over South Bay.
