A deadly fire broke out at a residential house in the Sawdagar Colony, located on the western bank of Boluar Dighi, Kotwali, Chattogram. The incident occurred early on Monday, February 10th, at 6:40 AM, claiming the lives of two individuals.

Upon receiving the news, four units from two fire service stations rushed to the scene and managed to bring the fire under control by 8:00 AM.

Five people were rescued from the burning building and admitted to the hospital. Tragically, two of them succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment, according to officials from the fire service.

Md. Abdul Malek, Assistant Director of Chattogram Fire Service, reported that the fire started in a five-room mud-built house in the Sawdagar Colony, near the western side of Boluar Dighi. Five people were rescued from the site and taken to the hospital, where two later passed away.
