A BNP delegation held a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin and other election commissioners this afternoon.
The meeting began at 3:30pm in the conference room of the Agargaon Election Commission Building in Dhaka.
Election Commissioners Md Anwarul Islam Sarker, Abdur Rahmanel Masud, Begum Tahmida Ahmad and Brig Gen (retd) Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah were present at the meeting.

The BNP delegation included standing committee members Nazrul Islam Khan, Salahuddin Ahmed, and Selima Rahman.
This marks the first meeting between the BNP and the EC since the new CEC and commissioners assumed office in November last year.
Prior to the formal meeting, the BNP delegation arrived at the election commission building and sit with with the CEC at his chamber after 3:00pm. They later joined the formal meeting in the conference room at 3:30pm.
Speaking to journalists before the meeting, BNP leader Salahuddin said, “We are here to discuss various issues, including preparations for the national election. We want to be informed about the Commission’s activities related to the the parliamentary election.”
