Stocks rose in the morning trade today, continuing their gaining streak for the seventh consecutive day.
The DSEX, the premier index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, gained 7.37 points or 0.14 percent to 5,186.55 as of 11:34 am.
Investor participation was mixed as around 167 issues advanced, 134 declined, and 87 remained unchanged.
Total turnover stood at Tk 130.08 crore.
Shares of Power Grid Company of Bangladesh surged the highest 10 percent, while shares of Khulna Printing & Packaging dropped 5 percent.
CSE All Share Price Index was down 0.008 percent, dropping 1.20 points to 14,511.03.
