Alhaj Foyez Ahmed , former tax commissioner and resident of Satkania, Chattogram, died from old age complications on Wednesday morning at his residence in Eidgah area of Chattogram (Inna Lillahe Wainnailaihe Rajeun). He was 83.
Ahmed, a retired government official, is survived by his four sons including Dr. Hasan Murad, Prof. Dr. Riaz Mahmud, Prof. Dr. Md. Ilias and businessman Imtiaz Farid.
Funeral prayers were held at 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Baitul Mowla Mosque ground in Eidgah, after which he was laid to rest there.
