Speakers at a memorial meeting described late Mohiuddin Shah Alam Nipu as a man passionately devoted to work, stating that his absence has created a void that cannot be filled.
He was a visionary leader whose legacy will inspire young generations of the country, they said.
The event brought together colleagues, cultural activists, writers, journalists, and well-wishers who paid tribute to the former president of Kaldhara Parishad.
Kaldhara Parishad organized the event at city’s Press Club premises on Friday where Dr. Mohitul Alam, one of the members of board of presidents presided and General secretary of the organization Ali Mansur delivered the welcome address followed by poet Akash Mahmud, another member of the board of presidents, reading out the condolence message.
Moderated by Dilruba Khanm Chuti, the reminiscence was addressed among others by BGMEA University Of Fashion and Technology VC Dr. Obaidul Karim, poet Nitai Sen, another member of the board of presidents, poet and journalist Rashed Rouf, Editor of The Daily People’s View Osman Gani Mansur, Golam Ferdous, another member of the board of presidents, convener of CU Alumni Association S M Fazlul Hoq, researcher and story teller Dr. Azad Bulbul.
